Nareg is Compass Consulting’s newest addition to the Network Team. Nareg performs as one of our Desktop Support Engineers and is one of the friendly voices helping you with your IT needs. With us since January 2021, he has already proven to be a wonderful fit, both personally and professionally.

Nareg’s curiosity and love for computers began at an early age when he was living with his family in Syria. At the age of 14 he recalls his family bought their first computer – at the time not easy for families in Syria. He was mesmerized by its capabilities, even back in the 90’s, and was hooked instantly, wanting to learn more. Before his move to the United States in 2010, Nareg first began his professional IT career performing desktop maintenance with Click Net. At just 17 years old, he was responsible for the maintenance of 12 – 16 gaming computers, which was a whole other level of added complexity, a feat on its own.

You cannot fight fate.

Quickly after moving to the United States in 2010, Nareg began his next IT professional adventure, working for Logic Mate International Inc., performing a wide variety of IT Support services, including T1 support for internal users, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware assets, maintaining and installing POS systems for retailers and wholesalers, and managing servers and backup equipment. Soon after his start with the company he was moving up the ranks. Before his move to Compass, he made his way up to Senior IT Specialist, and with the impressive title came greater responsibilities. Nareg coordinated with project teams to evaluate their IT infrastructure, worked with local management to optimize their annual IT costs, managed local and remote customers’ SQL installations, backups, and replication processes. He assisted in establishing a customer help desk system which drastically reduced the number of unanswered customers, which significantly increased business efficiency customer satisfaction. Nareg played an important role in relocating the office and upgrading the VoIP system, redesigning the LAN infrastructure, and virtualizing the server environment.
