Project Description

Cabling and Network Engineering Services were required for converting a commercial building store front into a micro market and retail café. The project will bring value to tenants by providing a wide variety of fresh food options, Wi-Fi and cable TV access on-site, in a fun atmosphere. The self-checkout kiosk provides for a fast, convenient and user-friendly shopping experience.

The goal of the project was to convert a commercial building store front into a micro market and retail café by providing a custom solution for cabling infrastructure and network engineering requirements.

Solution

Compass Consulting provided a custom solution for cabling infrastructure and network engineering requirements. This client-tailored approach ultimately helped save time, streamlining equipment and networking purchases by providing a simple and effective solution tailored to the specific needs of this unique project. It included:

Coordination of new FiOS broadband connection line with service provider
Installation of cabling infrastructure to support new FiOS line
Integration of building automation system (HVAC control system), market security cameras, door access controls, and point of sale (POS) connectivity
Installation and configuration of highly secure, enterprise network equipment
Security wall mount cabinet to prevent tampering, dust and other hazards
Mounting 50” TV monitor and a Wi-Fi access point in the market space
Installation of redundant cable capacity as back-up or to accommodate future additions
