Daniel Diaz


Employed by Compass Consulting since 2012, Daniel Diaz performs in the role of IT Consultant. Prior to his role as Technology Consultant, Daniel effectively led the Network Engineering team and has been highly influential in the creation and implementation of our cloud services division. He has contributed substantial levels of technological and operational innovation that have helped to streamline the delivery of products and services.  True to his engineering roots, Daniel troubleshoots problems by, “start at layer 1… and never assume.”

Daniel comes to Compass Consulting with over 16 years of Network Operations and IT experience with firms such as Rapattoni Corporation and impreMedia/La Opinion publications.  In his role at Rapattoni Corporation, Daniel was a Sr. Network Administrator and was responsible for maintaining all company network equipment including Cisco 6509 and 2960 switches, ASA firewalls, and Dell PowerConnect switches.  His hard work and dedication helped ensure 99.99% uptime of the network and production infrastructure.  Daniel was also instrumental in assisting with ongoing support and maintenance of company web servers and application-specific servers.

In his IT Director role at impreMedia/La Opinion, Daniel was responsible for overseeing IT operations for 6 newspaper publications, 10 locations, and 300 nation-wide users.  On his upwards track to the Director role, Daniel was responsible for conducting network integrations following company acquisitions and maintaining MPLS WAN between ten regional properties, all while successfully ensuring that Help Desk phone queues were properly functioning and supported.
